How secure is this anchor?

Ground anchors are an
essential part of your security precautions, especially if you leave your bike or bikes parked in the driveway outside your house.

But even if you have a garage (or a shed), you really should fit a ground anchor (into a concrete floor) to foil the more determined thief—and some crooks are pretty serious about their intent. These devices are not impossible to beat, but it usually can't be done quietly or quickly. The trick here is to think carefully about where you locate the anchor.

In other words, make the anchor as inaccessible as possible and keep your security chain snug. And don't bolt the anchor into any old piece of damaged concrete. Take a little time out to prepare the surface. It might cost an afternoon or so, but it will help give you peace of mind for years.

Our Fury lock and chain or Nimrod lock and chain will suit this anchor. But it's not really suitable for use with a shackle lock.
